This quest shouldn’t be too difficult for Fortnite players, but this guide will go over finding a camp and light the campfire.

Dance near a Lit Campfire Quest
Luckily for Fortnite players, there are currently 11 different campfire locations around the map and are shown if players hover over the quest in the quest menu. As readers can see in the image below, there’s one in the northwest corner of Coral Castle; there’s one north of the Aftermath in the middle of the map (where players had to collect stones from in week 1); one of them is a little bit east of Holly Hedges, and there’s even one right in the middle of Misty Meadows.
For the sake of simplicity, this guide will go over one of the campfire locations and how to actually go about completing the quest to earn 30K XP. The location is just north of the Aftermath, as it might be one of the best places because there are no large POI’s nearby. Still, there could be a chance that other players show up, so make sure to come prepared with weapons.
Once players find the camp, they will need to light the fire by holding down the interact button. Once the fire has been lit, players will need to perform a dance emote, which can be used by pressing the down button on the d-pad.
If the fire is lit and the dance is done, the quest will be finished, and the player will be rewarded with XP. However, if the fire goes out before players start the dance emote, they will need to use wood to stoke the flames. If players are low on wood, they can simply use their melee weapon to break down nearby trees for resources and then try to complete the challenge again.
Fortnite is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
