They also sparked some criticism from former star quarterback Tommie Frazier, who tweeted his feelings on Scott on Saturday.
Frazier’s isn’t necessarily a damning comment for Frost, but it does sting a little extra knowing the two players were once teammates on Nebraska’s 1995 championship team. Frazier led the Cornhuskers to the first two of Tom Osborne’s three championships in the 1994-95 seasons; Frost quarterbacked his final title team in 1997.
It’s unlikely this affects Frost’s status as the Huskers’ head coach heading into 2020. But one thing’s for certain: Frost will be without the support of Frazier until the Huskers start seeing better results.
